Lessons From The Garden

I want to share a wonderful lesson that I experienced today.
Today in the garden I was pulling weeds from the soil. However, because of the dryness of the soil the tops of the weed would come up but the root would remain.. in order to get the root I had to dig deep into the soil..
But after I watered the soil I saw a few more weeds that I had not seen at the first. As I pulled them I noticed a difference. This time the weeds would come up roots and all..
This is why the latter rain is so important. It loosens the soil so that the root of those who are not supposed to be in the ground of truth would be easily uprooted, roots and all while the plants that bear fruits are continuously fed with life giving water..
I understand a little better why Jesus says don’t root up the tares lest you root up the wheat also.
To get the tares before the harvest (latter rain) we would have to dig deep into the soil and risk rooting up the wheat. Whereas in the harvest the soil is soft and the tares are easily removed..
Let us work to receive the latter rain.
